In the fight against the climate crisis, more and more carbon offsetting projects are being developed and implemented, inspired by nature based solutions.<\/span>Agroforestry, avoiding deforestation and degradation, afforestation and reforestation, are examples of nature based activities that not only enhance carbon sequestration but can be linked to a vast portfolio of ecosystem services and social benefits for the communities that adopt them.<\/span><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

Plan Vivo is addressed\u00a0 to community based projects, including\u00a0 REDD (Reduced emissions\u00a0 from deforestation and\u00a0 degradation), agroforestry,\u00a0 restoration of grazelands or intensive agriculture of small farmers. It\u00a0 supports a bottom up approach that considers\u00a0 community\u00a0 needs, including\u00a0 social\u00a0 issues such as health, education, land tenure, social recognition, gender\u00a0 balance.<\/p>\n<\/div>
