Luca Mercalli<\/span>
Luca Mercalli is an Italian climatologist and academic, president of the Italian Meteorological Association.<\/h5>

He is the author of more than 100 scientific papers. His research fields include climate and glaciers variations on the Alps, but also climate mitigation and adaptation. He set up the Meteorological magazine Nimbus. He is also a tireless communicator on the urgency to act against the climate crisis. He regularly holds conferences and joins debates on global warming.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

His lifestyle is consistent with his beliefs and his climate messages: he owns a highly energy efficient house in Val di Susa, almost self sufficient for energy and water.
