Climate heroesClimate heroes is a platform created to give voice to people who decided to act on the climate crisis.
Biodiversity loss, deforestation, climate crisis, human rights abuse, animal exploitation: all these issues need to be tackled, often taking some risks.

The power of individual actions is huge and it shouldn’t be underestimated how influential a person could be with his or her actions. Greta Thumberg climate strikes in 2018 led to Fridays for Future movement, Boyan Slat, the Dutch boy who made up a machine that gathers plastic debris using ocean currents, founded The Ocean Cleanup. There are hundreds of examples of people who didn’t turn their head in the face of a climate or environmental problem too big for them. Their actions have inspired large scale change.

Climate heroes are people who undertook actions, founded movements, developed innovative ideas, to act against the climate and environmental crisis. Some of them became famous, others are unknown people like us, who decided to adopt a lifestyle to saveguard ecosystems and reduce GHG emissions.

Unlike in many countries where environmental activism can put people’s lives at risk, we in the west don’t risk anything.

We can all become climate heroes, the Earth is democratic and needs the action of everybody.

This platform is a contribution to the people who decided not to remain indifferent.
